Deeply committed to seeing SME’s thrive, Mark is on the mission to educate businesses on the value of engaging with their numbers. For over 30 years, Mark has seen repeatedly the difference between the successful and un-successful businesses, and just what makes the difference.
Mark’s passion is to make a real difference to the SME community by helping business owners properly understand the financial performance of their businesses. He loves nothing better than seeing the positive financial turn-arounds his work brings.
Mark is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and is a member of the National Tax Accountants Association (NTAA) and Tax Institute of Australia (TIA). Mark supports the SME community through his ongoing membership and sponsorship of the WSBA. He is also the immediate past President.
Mark likes to keep fit. He does this by surfing whenever possible, running (slowly) and bike riding (erratically). Mark has been stained a deep purple and is a Dockers Member and Life Member of the Claremont Football Club (dual captain and four-time premiership player). Mark was appointed as a Commissioner to the WA Football Commission in January 2022 for a 3 year term. Don’t hold his football alliances against him, Mark is as friendly and genuine as they come and when he’s in work mode, offers a sharp intelligence and deep understanding of a huge range of Perth businesses and tax situations.
